How to make your own POIs for Garmin Nuvi350

Can someone guide me on how to make custom pois (red light cameras & speed traps)? Thank you

The Custom POIs are already here

The Custom POIs are already here at POI Factory for
Redlight Cameras and Speed Cameras. They just have to be loaded using POI Loader application which is free from Garmin. There are also Speed Trap POIs here already !
Also read the FAQS at the Home Page of POI Factory and do a Search on the ubject !

.

Also, take a look at this page for the format.

http://www.poi-factory.com/garmin-csv-file-format

The best thing to do is to download a file and take a look at it. You can open CSV files with Notepad or Microsoft Excel.

CSV file

I was told I can create poi files using notepad but I am unable to save the file as csv. Please assist.

.

Just type the filename and add .CSV at the end. It will save as a CSV.

Thank you

Thanks for the tip.

CREATING POIs

Eat at Joes.

If you have addresses I found this site useful

You can enter batch addresses and it will crunch the locations for you... The only bad part is the coordinates are reversed but that can be easily fixed with excel....

I think the link you want is in the post by neonwater: http://www.gpsvisualizer.com/geocoder/ . I'm guessing your link was a working link at one time.
