What could be wrong?

Hi Folks,

Ok, I've got a VERY WEIRD problem with my Nuvi 660. When I look at my POI CSV files in Excel, some many have as many as 1000 entries HOWEVER when I try and look at them in my Nuvi 660, it will only show me a fraction of those. What I mean to say is, I get anywhere from 45-54 entires in the list before it won't allow me to scroll any further.

Any ideas on what could be happening? Does it only show you the locations closest to you? I'm STUMPED!!

Yep

It automatically sorts to the closest 50 of your location. If you want to look somewhere else choose a different location or along your route.

This is why I like to have a Food folder, with each company in its own folder. If I want to just look for a particular place, then I choose its folder. If I don't care which one, but the closest of my pois I can choose show all and the gps will merge all my food files.

Food
>McDonalds/mcd.csv & mcd.bmp
>Wendy's/wendy's.gpx & wendy's.bmp

etc

50 closest

Garmin only show the closest 50 locations to your current location. But they are all there. Move to a different location and you'll see different points.

he's right, if you sort them by folder you can view them all w/o being limited to just your closest. I have them setup this way on my unit.
