Tell me if this isn't screwed up (wrong address location)

Wow, Mapquest did better then my garmin and google maps.

1382 Hwy. 258 South, Kinston, North Carolina, 28504

in google maps and garmin, it puts you on 258 NORTH, not south, but mapquest got it right.

Garmin is the manufacturer

Garmin is the manufacturer of that little box that you use for directions in the car...lol. Just kidding around

Just wanted to keep it generic, since all garmins use the same map set.

Is that domestic or imported?

The ones I mentioned in my previous post are all South Korean beers.

As far as Mapquest I also find it to be very reliable, that is what I used before GPS and whenever I need a map printed.

don't need another OB

Had plenty of those. Wouldn't mind some Oscar though.

"Ugly Pug" or "Buffalo Butt" are great tasting beer from a local microbrewery in Fort Worth, Tx (Rahr & sons)

........Garmin StreetPilot c550 / Nüvi 765...........

I'm not thrilled with the new maps, among other things....

I have a Nuvi 360 and since I loaded the v8 maps and let Garmin do it's thing with firmware updates:

1. The new map deleted my existing road home. It was there in v7.

2. British Emily lost her voice. It got softer and softer until I had to unsnap the 360 and hold it to my ear to hear her (I was in a strange town, needed Nuvi). Switched to American Sally and the volume came back.

3. Longer time to initially locate satellites.

4. Gets confused on way to destination...says recalculating, then 2 seconds later, says recalulating again and puts me back on my original route.

5. Doesn't seem as accurate.

6. Auto bluetooth firmware update freezes at 48%. Have to hard reboot.

Has anyone else had more issues with their Nuvi since upgrading to v8 and letting Garmin update the software via the web?

I don't know where I'm going or remember where I've been...without Garmin.

No but

No but I have had prob's with my c330 I know South CA by the back of my hand. more them once my c330 has told me wrong. Just like today I was going down the 15 on my way to Alpine the c330 told me to take the 163w to the 52w no no no wrong way. I took the 15 to the 52E to the 125 to the 8 to Alpine and cut 7 Min's off my time. This route has been there for at least 8 years that I know of there is no reason for this. If I have never been there before I now back up with a hard copy of MS Virtual Earth. I love Garmin I know they can do better. HOO I only drank Irish Beer hehehe
Jolleyr and soon c550

Possible recall???

I've heard a rumor (and, as far as I know, it's only a rumor) that Garmin may be recalling the latest map set for City Navigator due to issues with incorrect routing. Has anybody else come across this rumor?

Hey Jerry

That COW trophy looks great on your mantel ! grin

I hadn't heard anything about replacement either and
I have been in contact multiple times with both Garmin & Navteq re: SEVERAL obvious problems in my area after upgrading to 2008NT.

MrKenFL- "Money can't buy you happiness .. But it does bring you a more pleasant form of misery." NUVI 260, Nuvi 1490LMT & Nuvi 2595LMT all with 2014.4 maps !

Thanks Ken

It was a total surprise to me, just having fun on here and truly like this site. I have submitted several areas of consern here in town but I know if they make it to the next change it will be a shock to me, I was downtown a few days back and actually seen a NAVTEQ truck in the area. was going to run it down and ask some questions but they got up onto I-95 and dissapeared on me.
