POI'S

ok,

one question, i have placed all of my poi's in a main folder, then broke them down into sub-folders, now if i remeber right for each sub-folder i need the poi file an icon and alert if i want it to alert.
do i need to name all of the files in the sub-folder the same way, (campgroundsall.csv,campgroundsallbmp.campgroundsall.mp3) ETC, for the rest of the files? is this correct? and the poi's will pop up as the closest 50 ?

thanks

Here is a example Pois=main

Here is a example

Pois=main folder
>campgrounds=subfolder
>>koa.csv
>>koa.bmp
>>koa.mp3

Continue listing your camprounds

Now hook up gps to computer and run poi loader and direct it to the main folder.Select manual mode to set the alerts.

Yes the closest 50 will show up.

Just to clarify

You don't have to supply a custom icon or a custom mp3 to get an alert -- without them, the GPS will use the default grey circle and the default bong.

Since you haven't chosen to list your model of GPS in your profile, we don't know if your unit supports mp3 play or whether it is affected by the problem with some recent firmware and custom mp3's.

c530 doesn't support mp3, so you don't need that file.
