Where are my Saved Locations kept in a nuvi?

Greetings,
When I save a location on my nuvi, the data must be stored somewhere in the nuvi's internal memory and I'd think it will be somewhere in the Garmin subdirectory. I'd like to make sure that I have these backed up to my PC.
When I save the first location to my nuvi, is a new file created? Or is there an existing nuvi file that's modified with the additional info?
After having saved previous locations to the nuvi's internal memory, will newly added locations be incorporated into an earlier-saved file or will a new file be created for each user-saved location?

Yes
I'd recommend backing up your entire drive to your PC, but to answer your question -- yes, you can back up your saved locations. A working copy of your Favorites is Current.gpx.
Nuvi 660 -- and not upgrading it or maps until Garmin fixes long-standing bugs/problems, and get maps to where they are much more current, AND corrected on a more timely basis when advised of mistakes.
