3.10 Update for 2xxW. Problems.

doesn't show a 2.90 for the W (wide screen) versions of the 2XX models. What makes you think there was one and that it is better than 2.60? What do you mean by "the 2.60 is notably worth."?

When I try 3.10 the navigation (how it looked liked on the map) was notably better then 2.60
Well I do not remember exactly what ver. I used before I thought it was 2.90
But the link given by Garmin was absolutly the same http://gpsinformation.org/perry/nuvi/
I wonder why they don't put it on garmin.com page?

A search of this site for "250W 2.90" brings up posts that indicate there were two versions (2.70 and a 2.90) which were evidently available only via WebUpdater (no direct download of the exe file). That explains why there are no archived exe files. Reading some of the old posts, seems some people had problems with these versions.

I updated my 250W to software version 3.10 last week. Nothing bad to report, all seems well.

I bet that firmware for 250W and 200W are diferent

Software Version 3.10
Audio Version: 2.20
GPS SW Version: 3.00s

It seems that all "bugs" from 3.10 has gone away

Anyway after putting older firmware (2.60) and than reinstalling to the newest one (3.10) my 200W started work properly!!!!

I was trying to use webupdater to update the firmware to 3.10 but had no luck. I called Garmin and a woman there connected to my PC and after 45 minutes she had no luck either. It kept coming up with an error after downloading 99%.
I sent my nuvi 200W to her at Garmin International and when she received it she tried several more times but was unable to updated it. She just emailed me and said they were sending me another one. It must have been a bad unit. Hopefully this one will be able to download future updates.

I managed to resolve this problem by myself

less bugs

Just got a new nuvi 200w sent to me from Garmin and it still won't get the updates from the webupdater!
I emailed support and the woman said she will notify her supervisor and get back to me when he tells her something.

You'd better tell us what firmware had been pre-installed on your 200W

After update by Garmin WebUpdater I have
nuvi 200W
SV 3.10
Audio 2.10
GPS 3.00

I'm not sure it was for your model, but people were begging for the ability to downgrade to 2.70. It seems that ver on some models allows for the use of routes.

What problems are you looking to eliminate with 3.10?

Hi all reading the comments in this thread, I am lead to believe that V2.90 does not exist for the 200W ??? below my units details

I am unable to refresh my unit to the latest version 3.10, web-updater is failing to Connect… please try again later… contact garmin support…

I am not looking at fixing any issues… just wanted to refresh…

Do I need to go back to V2.60 than V3.10?

I think that you shoul go back 2.60 than try to install 3.10 as it was in my case
