Finding Coordinates

Is there a way to get the Coordinates of a Favorite on a Garmin C550, I have set a series of favorites and was hoping I could get the coordinates to begin creating a POI

I have a c340 and I use EasyGPS. It's a free download and should work with the c550. After you install it, you can tell it to receive the info from the GPS, and it defines them as Waypoints. There you can see the information for the favorites and the coordinates.

I use POIEdit...I have set

I use POIEdit...I have set all gpx files to open in it so all I have to do is double click on my gpx file.

Current.gpx

Kevin,

I see you are even newer to the site than myself. If you aren't already aware, the gpx file to which Charley refers is Current.gpx which is a working copy of your "Favorites", and it resides on the GPSr drive. Just connect the GPSr to your computer and open the file with PoiEdit, and their coordinates will all be laid out for you. Charley's method of setting the file association so that all gpx files will open in PoiEdit would make it easy to do this on a regular basis. Charley has previously mentioned that he routinely clicks on the vehicle on the screen and saves an interesting spot to his favorites and then when he gets home, he extracts the coordinates from his favoites list to include the point as a POI in a POI file (either pre-existing or new).

Nuvi 660 -- and not upgrading it or maps until Garmin fixes long-standing bugs/problems, and get maps to where they are much more current, AND corrected on a more timely basis when advised of mistakes.
