Can the Trip/Max screen be replaced?

Hi All,
I recently downgraded my Nüvi 670's firmware from v4.30 to v4.20 (because of the (alert/.mp3 glitch) and unfortunately, in the process, lost the information on the "Max Speed" screen showing my max speed of 590 mph. I looked inside the Garmin Folder and didn't see anything that resembled that file.
So, my question is this:
Does anyone know where that graphic is stored and, if so, can it be replaced (I have a screenshot of the former Trip/Max screen, in the JPG Folder).
Thanks for your time.

Re: Can The Trip/Max Screen Be Replaced?...Followup
Just got off the phone with Garmin and, unfortunately, when I replaced the firmware, all the information on the speed page, was lost.

I don't think so
I believe that information is stored as data and displayed on the screen. I don't think it was ever stored as an image.
Once data is gone, it is gone. Unless you have a backup or can locate the deleted files, that is.

Hi gpfoster,
I told Garmin tech support I had a screenshot of that display but, unfortunately, there's no way to reproduce or re-generate that information, back on to the speed screen.

Sorry it couldn't be done
I don't believe you could have recovered that without a backup of your system files. And Garmin is not going to give you access to the data files. You could do some serious damage if you got in there.

Alert/mp3 glitch
After reading several of the threads here I added an mp3 to my speed zone alerts ("whoa, whoa, slow down egghead"). But I noticed that while listening to music, when I hit the speed zone I don't get the alert; instead, the mp3 player suddenly switches to a new song.
So you say this was introduced by the 4.3 update? So we should expect version 4.4 soon?

hi ropaswan,
Garmin is aware of the problem, so I would hope a firmware update/fix is forthcoming.
In the meantime, I removed my "Redlight-Cameras.mp3" file and when in proximity of a redlight camera, I still get the red banner, with a generic "ding-ding" alert and my music .mp3, is unaffected.

Do you have your tongue firmly implanted in cheek? Garmin has been working on some problems for over a year according to some reports here. You might want to downgrade if the mp3 alerts are really important to you.
Nuvi 660 -- and not upgrading it or maps until Garmin fixes long-standing bugs/problems, and get maps to where they are much more current, AND corrected on a more timely basis when advised of mistakes.
