Will TourGuide w/o .mp3 work on nuvi200?

I've been looking at the http://brillharts.com/GarminAlerts/ site and would like to set up a TourGuide radius alert for one of my .gpx files, but I'm not sure if it'll work without the .mp3 file. Anyone try this?
No mp3 capability = no Tour Guide audio
Unless your unit can play mp3 files, you cannot hear the audio portion of a Tour Guide. According to the "Specs" tab of this Garmin Web page -- https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?cID=134&pID=9160 -- your unit cannot.

If I transfer a working TourGuide alert from my Nüvi 310 (which supports mp3 playback), to my StreetPilot C510 (which doesn't), then the alert stops working altogether.
This is different to the effect you get with a 'normal' alert with associated mp3 file. In this case, the StreetPilot falls back to an in-built tone.
(There's always a faint possibility that it was implemented differently in the Nüvi 2xx series though...)
