Bummer! I have a Garmin StreetPilot C530 - and I love it. Fortunately for me, I've kept it current with the latest updates from Garmin and Navteq; but when I went to the Garmin Web site for the C530 just now, I found that they've removed it. You can't get there from here!
I had the direct URL saved as a favorite, so I was able to access the site from that direction, but the page for downloading the C530 manual and the page for checking for code updates are GONE. I know the C530 is a discontinued product, but why in the world would Garmin remove something that was already there and working? The only cost to Garmin was a couple of records on a server somewhere.
Not only that, but there are stores and Web sites that are still selling new C530's. What are those buyers supposed to do to get the latest and greatest code updates? I'm really disappointed in Garmin.

Just updated my C530
I just did the update with the new software, so I don't know what Garmin is doing, but the updates seem to be working for now.
I think the C530 is a nice unit, so I hope they don't stop the support for it.

Don't understand what the problem has been - I just logged onto Garmin Support and latest software and manual downloads were there for the C530

Garmin probably just had a problem with their server. They still have the manual and firmware updates for my GPS III from 1997. I had the lithium battery replaced for free by Garmin just last year. They also completely replaced the loose antenna and casing so the GPS is still waterproof. I wish my Nuvi was waterproof.

Tubby, I can get to this site through your link, but not through "normal" channels. Maybe they're having server issues this morning. What's interesting (strange?) about the update you show, is that it almost looks like it's not really for the C530. Have you personally installed it on your box? And it didn't break anything?

Bandaid, when I follow your link, the site says there are no manuals or updates for the C530. That's where I was yesterday when I posed the issue in the first place.
I used webupdater yesterday and it found and installed the latest update with no problems.
