I am trying to change the splash screen on a 7200. When I hook up the usb I see The audio, Mp3 and a Garmim image file. What do I use to get to the splash screen file?

I am trying to change the splash screen on a 7200. When I hook up the usb I see The audio, Mp3 and a Garmim image file. What do I use to get to the splash screen file?
See if this works:
Place your .JPEGs on the SD card. Boot up.
tap Tools then Picture Viewer.
select Slide Show or tap an image to view, place tic/checkmark in box for Display At Power On.

You have to use a programed called xImage to change the splash screen on that model. You can get xImage from Garmin's website. You will use xImage to download the current splash screen from your unit, change it and then send it back to the unit.

Gees, that sucks, I wonder why they changed that! I can simply copy over a pic and choose it to my splash screen.

The 7200 has been around for a while. The firmware support for displaying jpgs directly wasn't available for it. This is common with those units. That's why Garmin created xImage.
