ZUMO POIs

A general question. I have a new Zumo and when I look for "fuel" it only shows about 1/2 of the stations that exist locally. Stations that have been here for 5-15 years don't show up. Why is that?

Also, when looking for "food" some things are missing entirely like Applebees. I know I can get custom POI files but why don't they exist in the basic data?? Applebees has been around for many, many years. It's not like nobody has ever heard of them?

It makes me think that I could be on the road looking for gas and the Zumo will tell me there isn't any gas for the next 500 miles when there is lots of gas out there. ? ??

thanks,

Harry

By default, it will only

By default, it will only show you the closest (as the crow flies) pois nearest to you. So if applebees isn't in the top 50, you won't see it.

And the POI file will NEVER have everything in it. Only the manufacturer knows what their selection criteria is...(payola??)and they ain't telling.

Some brands and models are a bit better but none are really "complete".
