I took my Garmin Nuvi 650 on a cruise out of Port Canavarel to Bahamas Islands, St. Thomas then to St. Martin.
There was the car in the Ocean would liked to have had a boat to replace the car image, but it covered the whole trip.
Maps of the 3 Island stops we made with roads. I was surprised by the detail in the Caribbean area showing other Islands of the area. Added another interest to the cruise.

Add the Pearl
At Garmins site you can change Vehicles there are a couple Boats..and you can add the Black Pearl..That would have been perfect...and even though you cannot track log..you can save points. That would be Fun.

Maps for St. Martin
Hi Bob
I am sailing out of St. Maarten on a cruise in a couple of weeks and plan on staying a few days on the island prior to embarkation on the boat. I have the Nuvi 360 with the standard map of North America that came with it. Do you know if I will have any street maps for the Island I can use while driving?
Thanks!
No

Bryan,
You do know that you can look and see St. Maarten (St. Martin per Navteq) on the GPS right now? You will find two cities/towns and one airport -- no roads. This is on NT 2008.
Nuvi 660 -- and not upgrading it or maps until Garmin fixes long-standing bugs/problems, and get maps to where they are much more current, AND corrected on a more timely basis when advised of mistakes.

I have turned on my Garmin
I have turned on my Garmin nuvi 660 while flying from Chicago O'Hare to Houston Bush Intercontinental -- after the flight attendant announced that it was okay to turn on electronic equipment, of course! It was fascinating to compare what I was seeing out the window to what my nuvi was displaying. I've used my nuvi on other commercial flights, too. It's fun to see the MPH go to several hundred. And, it's kind of like the old days, when commercial airliners used to display maps and out-of-the-cockpit video views on *domestic* flights.
