GPS Chipset Type G

Hi,
I was trying to update my nuvi350 software from Garmin site and saw this "GPS Chipset Type G" update. Can anybody advise me if I need that for my nuvi350?

Might want to try again in one that is titled "Garmin". mrgreen

It is not required

It is not required, but is supposed to improve the speed of satellite lock. Do a search for "chipset" for many threads concerning this update.
