Can your Nuvi660 select at "My Current Route"&"My destination"?

I have just bought Nuvi660 and I am trying to search POI along the way or at destination. I select "Where to" and then clik "Near" at the bottom of screen. It showed 4 option the pick.
o Where I Am
o A Destination to Pick
o My Current Route
o My Destination
This option allows you to find POI along the choice you pick. My Nuvi660 is not allow me to click "My current Route" and "My Destination". I'm wondered do you have the same problem as me or there is anything that I can update and use this function?
You have not chosen a destination or route yet.
It can't offer you those options until you have chosen a destination, satellites have been acquired, and the route has been fully calculated.
Nuvi 660 -- and not upgrading it or maps until Garmin fixes long-standing bugs/problems, and get maps to where they are much more current, AND corrected on a more timely basis when advised of mistakes.

Use the "A Different City" option. For example, you can be in Los Angeles, CA. You want to look for POI around Las Vegas, NV. By using the "A Different City" option, you would enter Las Vegas, NV. Now, the 660 will look for POI in the new area.
