What Software?

Hello Everyone,

I'm new to this POI editing stuff so please bear with me. I see that some of the files have csv extensions and I can open them using MS Excel but is that the best way to edit and create them? And another question, I have the Garmin Nuvi 660 with a 1GB SD card which holds all my POI files however I was wondering does this slow the unit response time down at all?!

Thank Much!!

Clint

The search function is a great way to find and look up info and answer questions as well.

I would say ......

In my point of view, using MS Excel is the easiest rather than best way to edit POI csv files. I'm not sure weather it is the best way or not cause it depends on the user!! Regarding the effect of SD card size on the perfomance of the GPS, I would recommend visiting this thread:

Leading Zeros in a Zip code

If you are using Excel you need to make sure the formating for leading zeros is correct.
