ICONS

I have been trying to load icon with two of my POI files. An icon for each file. The files and the icons are in the same file. Each has the correct extension and the names are correct. It will not load onto my NUVI 760. I have even tried removing one of the files and its associated icon still no luck. Any thoughts/suggestions?

The folder has different

The folder has different name.

.

When you look at the files on your computer, is your file browser set to "Hide the file extensions"? This can result in having double file extensions on your files which will cause them not to load properly.

Also double check that the filenames are EXACTLY the same. No extra spaces. No extra underlines. No change in case.

The name of the folder doesn't matter.

Motorcycle Mama has already

Motorcycle Mama has already hit on it.Your icon, file and folder all have to have the same name.
example folder called cracker barrel.csv file inside =cracker barrel and the icon file name cracker barrel.Just type the name exactly like the folder. It will defult to what type of file it is if you have xp.Note if you have the two files in one folder just the file and icon has to be the same.I was guessing you had two separate folders with the a file in each.

In the file browser on your computer, go to Tools > Folder Options. Select the "View" tab. Scroll down to "Hide extensions for known file types" and be sure it is unchecked.

Again, the folder name does not matter. It's the filenames that must match.

Still do not get the icons

Still do not get the icons to load. There are several data points in the cvs file and one icon data point (bmp) file. I am loading these on a SD and then installing on the 760
