setting proximity in gpx file

I understand that in a gpx file, one can set proximity setting on individual pois. I have searched to try to find an example of this being done and haven't found it.

Anyone have a bit of code or a file they could refer me to to show how to set proximity setting in a gpx file? I would like to see a file so that I can grasp the concept...

<gpxx:Proximity>305</gpxx:Proximity>

Remember the units in the file are Metres. (Always)

Thanks for your reply....

Another question... in a gpx file, is there a way to stop the proximity data from showing on the screen?

As far as I can make out, it appears that if there is a promimity set on the poi... in a gpx file, then the proximity data automatically displays on the screen.
Try as I might, I have not found a way to subdue it.

Maybe...

In practical terms - probably not.

The Garmin supplied Safety Camera database has alerting POIs that don't show up at all, unless triggered. When they do, their appearance is quite different to the 'normal' ones. So there's seemingly quite a few things that are defined in the gpi format, that POI Loader doesn't give you access to. Garmin's commercial equivalent (GPI_Creator) doesn't give access to that particular functionality either.
