GPS With Auxiliary Inputs

Has anyone seen any GPS units that have connections to accept auxiliary inputs? For example, say you wanted to have a camera on the back of your RV when you are in reverse and wanted to use a Garmin Nuvi 750 or 7200 for the display.

The new Garmin 5000 does

The new Garmin 5000 does this. They were showing it off at CES last week with that exact feature.

Also there is a new model by Pharos called the 260c that has this option but I don't know if that is out yet either. The one they showed at CES had a wireless backup camera option that attached to your license plate and could use a wire if desired.

Garmin Nuvi 5000

Thank you for the reply. That could be quite nice having that connectivity.

Aux. Inputs

The Garmin StreetPilots 7200 & 7500 also have that Video Input on them.

I am not for sure.. but I believe they used a security type head on the plate mounting screws that holds the camera bracket to the license plate.

nuvi 5000 back-up camera

I understand that the nuvi 5000 supports auxiliary inputs - and that it has been on display in recent trade shows along with one. Can anyone tell me the make and model - I'm very interested in which back-up cameras are compatible.

That's interesting. I don't think I would find the absence of either of those 2 "features" to be an advantage.

Why would the great minds at Garmin omit these key features. I would love to have a GPSr unit that could double as my backup camera monitor but not at the expense of losing the afore mentioned necessities!

Garmin, lose the mp3 player, picture viewer, world travel clock, currency & measurement converter, calculator, etc but not bluetooth and the battery!
