Hello all...new owner of a Nuvi 200 here with a simple question. I've been using GPS's since waaaayyyy back (started with a GPS12 and have 4 Garmin products in all) and I'm accustomed to most features, but I can't find out how to do something on the 200 that my simple eTrex does quite well.
While panning my map (on the eTrex) when I put the pointer on top of a POI, a bubble banner shows up with more information. If I click the stick on the POI, it takes me to an information page about the POI. When I pan my map (on the 200) I can touch a POI and I get the same bubble banner as the eTrex, but I can't seem to find a way to "dig" into the "more information" page. Am I missing something right under my eyes???
Thanks,
David
.
Nope. You aren't missing anything.
You can't currently go to the detail page for a POI from the map screen.
DANG!....was afraid of
DANG!....was afraid of that...frustrates me when they remove a perfectly good feature
Let's see if there's a workaround??? Say I'm sitting in a parking lot somewhere, and I look around on my map and see a restuarant icon. I "touch" the icon and the name appears. I'd like to get the information page so I can get the phone #, but I'm not sure I want to "Go" there yet. What's the simplest way to get to the information page without "Go"ing there?
Thanks,
David

I just got the 760. When I click on the "Where TO?" icon, I then click on Points of Interest, click on Food, find out what restaurant I am looking for, then I click on it, then it takes me to the information page that gives the address and telephone number. A lot of steps, but it works.
yeah, those steps work on
yeah, those steps work on the 200 as well, but that means you're "looking" for something. My delima occurs when I'm just browsing the map, see an icon, and want to get more information about the POI.
