Chatty Kathy thread for the week of December 17th 2007

This is the place to talk about things that are not gps related, you can discuss whatever you would like, as long as it is clean. Remember we have families that have their children involved in the GPS fun and we don't want to make parents feel uncomfortable when their children ask what that word means.

Have fun...

This thread will be closed on Monday and a new one will be opened.

I leave town for a single week and now I'm so far behind here I'll never catch up! smile

When I first joined, I could read every message in all of the forums. But now its so busy that I just look at the titles and skip about 75% of the topics just to stay up-to-date.

See you have a 650. I just got mine and I'm curious as to why the 350 is rated higher. How do you like yours?

Replacing Plasma

Do LCDs put off as much heat as a plasma? My 42" plasma puts off alot of heat, I can't imagine how much it costs me to run it.

I have a 47" LCD and it barely gets warm to the touch. My old Sony Trinitron CRT got so hot I swear you could fry an egg on that thing! Seriously, after it had been on for a while, the room got noticeably warmer, which was a nice byproduct during the winter.

Thanks!! I won this plasma three years ago, so I've gotten my $ worth. smile But, I think it's time for an LCD instead. The plasma just stays so hot.

For me....

For me, I like the 350's size. But that wouldn't make me rate the 350 higher. Where did you see that rating?

gps magazine

I think it is rated higher because Retail price is much cheaper...But as a lot of us found last month, the 650 is as cheap or cheaper than the 350..In fact at 299 The 650 was the Best buy on Black Friday deals on GPS magazine..
