Lat/Lon w C330

Do you guys know of a way to view current latitude/longetude on the C330 screen? I want to be able to record that info for posting on this site. My truck sees over 3k miles a week. Thats a lotta POIs.

Not sure about your exact

Not sure about your exact unit, but is there a status page that shows satellite signal strength, etc? Generally on that page you'll find lat/long and altitude, too. Do you have a satellite signal strength bar? Try touching directly on it. That's how we Nüvi people get that information. Then again with the 330, it may be buried in a menu somewhere. Keep looking, but I'll bet someone here will have an answer quickly. This place is good like that. smile

You are not able to view

You are not able to view coordinates on the c3xx or the c5xx series.

That's a pretty ignorant

That's a pretty ignorant omission since EVERYTHING GPS is based on lat/long coordinates.

Sheesh

Man I think I'm gonna spring for a different unit. The whole map update thing is drivin me nuts too. After you cough up $70 for the 2008 upgrade, I will have over $210 invested in a unit that doesnt have Lat/Lon OR street verbalization. Sheesh!

You could just save the location as a Favourite. That way, it's recorded for you and is accessible from your PC. (With Mapsource, or EasyGPS or something of that ilk).

When I got my original Streetpilot C510, I was disappointed to find that you couldn't display the coordinates. My Nüvi 310 can ... and I have made use of the facility, precisely zero times wink

Yeah, I never use coordinates while on the road. i do use them once I get home and copy them into a POI file.

Ok. I surrender

The whole reason for going w/C330 or 40 was the "truck" setting. Alot of us truckers are looking for a route solution that doesn't get us in to trouble at 4am. I guess I should give up and wait for something that should have been developed years ago. Thank You for your posts. I really like this forum and YOU ALL ROCK!
