Elevation on the 660?

Didn't realize it was missing till someone asked me where it was... Is there a way to see your current elevation on the 660? Likewise, can you get your current lat/long? This seems pretty basic but I couldn't find it anywhere in the menus.

Is this information not on the "Satellite screen", like it is on the Nüvi 3xx series? (Accessed by pressing the satellite signal strength bar)

On the 3xx, you can also go

On the 3xx, you can also go to Where to | My location and find it there.

Hit the green satellite bars

Hit the green satellite bars in the extreme upper left hand corner of the main screen. Might take a few tries because it's easy to end up hitting the "where to" button.

And, there's no "my location" under "where to", at least on my 660.

Gosh, you are sorta dumb for listening to me in the first place...lol

Sorry, Actually it is "Where to?" | "My Locations" | "My Current Location" on the Nuvi350

And you are right, I always hit the "Where to" button when trying to hit the signal strength bars!!!

I find that if I do a "light

I find that if I do a "light tap" it works almost every time. A full on "press" gets me the "where to".

i am really learning a lot

i am really learning a lot about my 660. on the surface, the 660 looks so easy to use that gives an impression that it does not provide a lot of information. but as i read thru the discussions here, i am learning a lot of tricks. thanks!!

Same

I was kind of the same way when I switched from my 2610 to the 750. I was upset that my sattelite screen was gone....but then found out here that it wasn't.

Where Am I

Something else I saw in here and forgot about until I just now saw it in another discussion. On the 750 you can pull up Where Am I by touching the car icon on the map screen. You might try that also.

I'm kind of addicted to that

I'm kind of addicted to that satellite screen now that I know about it. If I'm driving somewhere where I already know the roads and don't need the map, I'll watch the signal strengths and check out the sun and moon locations. smile

Sad, but true
