I found a post from a couple months back about the 5100 / 7100 models. The feedback at that time didn't look promising for custom POIs.

JM the answer you gave is not accurate information, you can load the POI files you need with third party software in all Navigon products, including the 2100.

Go to POI-Warner for more information.

JM, I was at CES this

JM,
I was at CES this January and spent sometime with the vendor from Navigon and really liked some of the features of the top of the line 7100 model. I was surprised when he said that the top of their line cost around $500.00 so I inquired how they could sell it so cheap and upon discussing the matter with him, he stated Navigon left off items like an mp3 player, viewer, etc that Garmin adds to their top of the line, but the main point was that you could not add additional POI's to their unit at this time, I said I really like that feature, especially allowing to add Red Light Cameras to your unit.

POI-Warner & Navigon All Models

The Navigons themselves do not allow adding the poi files like the Rep said. With the add on software I can add them to the SD card. The Traffic is more important to me than the mp3 player, I have a sat radio. And yes I do have the red light Camera file from POIFactory loaded in my 2100.

dog_poop, thank you for your information. At least I know that POI-Warner can use with 2100 to import red light camera from POI-Factory. My friend consider buying 2100 soon. Do you have a link for how to add poi by using POI-Warner?

POI Uploads

Reading the POI-Warner site is next-to-useless. It's obvious that English isn't their first language and among the questions I have are:

- Can I upload third party POIs using this tool?
- Does the tool itself provide any North American content or is this really just a European tool?
- What format do my third party POIs need to be in to upload to the device?

I use the files from this site, the POI-Warner site is a European content site. The program is well documented in English. and is well worth the Money.

Like I said The files from this site work great. My 2100 has red light and speed camera protection.

Does anyone know of a different program that will not cost me money to just load POIs onto the navigon?

I myself just spent the $50.00 bucks, it's the bomb.
The Garmin and Tom Tom users only wish the could load individual poi files and have them all running at the same time. Right now I have 12 POI files running with different approach angles, sounds and a list of adjustments.

it's worth the money

Hi Ron,
Your Navigon uses Navigator6. Not sure what the cost is today, because of the changing dollar, however it is a onetime charge.

Loading POI files into Navigon 7100

Is POI-Warner still the only option for loading POI files into a Navigon 7100?

The http://www.navigating.de is a little confusing as it lists Navigon 4, 5, and 6. Does only one apply to the 7100?

Looks like the program is about US $38 (includes VAT?)

Tim (for a friend of a 7100)

As far as I know POI-Warner is the only POI Program for the x100 Navigons.

When at the navigating.de website your choice will be the Mobile Navigator 6 version for the 2100,5100 and 7100.

Tim, don't know much about VAT and the exchange rates change daily, you probably know better than me on both.
