Garmin c340 - upcoming turns stops working

I sorta doubt it was that, I have done several trips that were very long and that feature worked fine. Must have gotten screwed up and when you stopped it and started it again, it worked...sorta like a reset.

I just came from Va to Fl and having just purchased the unit in Sept I hit the top of the display a lot and had no problems with getting next turn info.Have made short trips here in Fl with no problems.Not sure why you are having a problem.Do you have a good location on the windshield so that you are not losing reception?

Good reception. I'm headed back home tomorrow and will try it again and see what happens.

I don't know if its related or not, but the feature seems to work fine UNTIL I get an alert for an REDLIGHT CAMERA (I have the Redlight camera POI file loaded on my c340). After I pass through an area that has a traffic light camera and my unit gives the alert, then the feature to tap the top area of the screeen to get a list of upcoming turns no loger works. It will start working again if I STOP the route and re-enter my destination. Any clues, anyone???

Not a clue.My c340 done the same thing on a Cracker Barrel alert a few days ago.No problems before setting up the alert.I turned the alert off after that.Don't really need it anyway.I only put in on to see if it would work.May contact Garmin support with this question.

Are you pressing in the center of the green turn bar? I ask this because I thought there was something wrong with my 660 when I first got it. If I touch too far off to one side, nothing happens. It wasn't like that on my 2720 as it worked no matter where I touched the turn bar.

No I am touching the text bar at the top of the page when the alert goes off.That is in accordance with the user manual with the c340.It only happen when the alarm went off but after re-setting it was ok.Does not happen every time.When things like that happen I really don't like the idea of going into trouble shooting mode going 65 mph and continue to touch the text bar trying to get it to work.These little bugs in these units could get someone killed by over reacting.I have had mine for a few months now so I got so I wait until I stop or no traffic in sight.That way my wife won't get all excited when I start playing with the GPS unit.

I have confirmed it. The problem occurs afer an alert (where the green turn bar turns red and displays the text of the alert, after the bar turns back green, it continues to show the route/next turn information but no longer allows you to press it and get the listing of all upcoming turns.

Noticed this work around - but it only works if you know that a alert is comming up. If I press the upper portion of the screen to display the upcoming turns PRIOR to the alert. After the alert, I can return to the regular map screen and the upcoming turns feature works fine. Stopping the route and restarting it also works.
