Erasing database mistakenly downloaded

By mistake, I downloaded a database containing tens of thousands of POIs onto my Garmin Street Pilot i5. Is there a way of deleting these?

Thanks for any help offered.

delete

POI Loader deletes all of the custom POIs in your GPS and replaces them each time it's used. If you want to free up space, just load a mostly empty file like delete.csv

For those who are curious, it contains a single point located at the north pole.

Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the help. Much appreciated. But now is there a way to add an additional file WITHOUT it deleting what's in there? Say I want to add my favorite CHINESE RESTAURANTS, and I already have MY FAVORITE ITALIAN RESTAURANTS as a file?

Loading multiple files

POI Loader loads everything it finds, so just place all of the POI files you want loaded together in the same directory. Then, use POI Loader to load them all at once. smile

Ah so. Many thanks. I hate

Ah so. Many thanks. I hate to be a pest. I'm new to this and need all the help I can get. I'm not one to avoid reading manuals and FAQs, but what questions I've posed to this form are ones I have not seen answered in either of those places.

Your welcome

Just remember that there is no such thing as a bad question. Someone else might be having the same issue and by having you post the question here and providing the public with the answer by doing so might save someone else the headache that you just went through.

I am going to post something

I am going to post something on one of the general forum boards, now that you all have helped me solve this situation. I am now able to do what I had hoped for: To wit, sitting down with the Friday newspaper and laying out AT HOME my entire Garage Sale Routes for the next 3 days, without the bother of using the spinning wheel on the i5.

Thanks for all your help here.

Yard Sales and Thrift Stores and Flea Markets, Oh, My!

Was never gonna admit it, but yeah...
...THAT is the REAL reason I looked for a gps lol
Tomorrow, I am heading to the east coast from Raleigh on a FleaQuest. (Also a massively multi player game coming to a yard sale near you!)
