hi smile i am new here and very interested in POI

i am 49 male from the suburb of Montreal, QC
sorry for my bad english , i am french smile

my gps is Gramin Etrex Legend C but maybe i will change for Legend Hcx (more waypoint and better antenna)
i use it on the truck i drive
i have some churches for waypoints smile
i deliver candles for churches smile

how can i be sure that if i begin a new one POI it has not been done anywhere else ?

maybe, just maybe i would like to do " Les Caisses Populaires Desjardins"

i am going to Panama soon

is there anything done in this country ?

i cannot see even a map to put in my gps

if anyone can help me i would apreciate

Panama Road map

There's a (free) Panama road map here. You will need SendMap20 to load it into your gpsr.

The accuracy of that map is unknown-treat with caution!! (I assuming that it's compatible with the Etrex, but I don't know for certain)

i went to the map list and i see 2 download
source and binary
which one i have to take ?

There will be a .mp file which is the source file - only needed if you're planning on making some amendments wink ... otherwise, you'll just want the .img file (the binary).

The program I mentioned (SENDMAP20), packages this (and any other custom maps) into a format that your Etrex can understand - (probably) producing GMAPSUPP.IMG.

the map was a good help but as you informed me it was not all precise

i have made some tracks there

do you think it can be helpful for the guy who did this map ?

by the way as i was in panama i read in a newspaper

that there is a map for garmin gps now for the city of panama
