C330 and Lat & Long

Hi, I have learned a lot about my C330 from this site, more than the manual ever told me. I have another question. Is there any way to see the latitude and longitude on the C330, when you are at a place and would like to know the coordinates ? Thanks

No, you would need a nuvi, I

No, you would need a nuvi, I don't believe that any of the streetpilots show the coordinates on the unit itself. I am talking about the c3xx and the c5xx series.

I also carry an Etrex

I love my C330 in my truck. But I had an Etrex before and it was ok but way too small to see while driving. I have done a few Geo Casheing and love the Etrex back up,,,You can get a used on pretty cheap, and mine will take the whole 2008 us maps too..But it is great when someone gives you the Lat and Long to find..I am pretty sure you can use the Map and Waypoint software to find them..and make a POI file...

As said, not on the unit itself. But you can download the "Favorites" using "Map Source" to your PC and get the lat & long that way. If you don't have "Map Source", call or e-mail Garmin Support and request a copy of the "Map Source" dvd. Tell them you wish to manage your way-points so you can save them to POI files. For more information do a Search above about this and much more on this very issue on this web-site...
