Does anyone know how or if it is possible to share audio Book files?????
No - it would be copyright violation.
From a technical point of view, you would share the file(s) just like any other...store them to some kind of media that could be shared...space on a server, CD, Etc.
Exactly right. If you Google "Free Audiobooks", you will find a few sites with free audiobooks. You can generally find the classics and stuff like that.
And yes, those could be shared freely...anything recent won't be among them.
yeah, I got a couple of 'classics' that I really enjoy, but they are in mp3 format, so I am playing them in the mp3 player.
audio books for the nuvi 350 are .aa files. Is there free downloads.
There may be, but I couldn't find any.
You can get one freebie. Beyond that, you have to buy a plan, and depending on the plan, you can get one or two downloads a month. You're not likely to find other sources of free material because of copyright issues noted above.
Yes, as far as the free public domain audiobooks, I should have pointed out that they will be in MP3 format. But you can still use them if you have an MP3 player. And it's fairly simple to break them up into segments so that you can skip forward and backward easily.
A good site for Public Domain audio books is librivox.org, They have a lot of titles.
A trick that I use with mp3 audio books to keep them separate from my mp3 music is to rename the books starting with a z. Remember to right click on the filename, click on properties, click the summary tab then rename the title with a z also.(that is what the unit sees and lists alphabetically.)
Thanks for the link. My wife and I travel to our grandson in Fredericksburg, VA about once a month and usually borrow books on DVD from our library. Now that I have my new Nuvi, it would be easier to download a few books for free and just load them on the Nuvi.
