Edit red light camera locations

I am a newbie to the world of GPS, but it did not take me long to discover that there was a Red Light Camera alert. Of course like everyone else, I had to have it. I successfully downloaded and updated my C330. My question is, I thought that these locations were editable so that you could add things like, the actual location, the speed limit at the location and so on? I have not found a way to do that. Any help?

editing POI files

POI files can be edited with a program like Notepad / WordPad / or Excel. You should make a backup of the file before attempting edits, because it's easy to mess up the formatting.

Speed alerts are probably not as good as distance alterts for red light cameras. Distance alert will always let you know as you approach an intersection with red light cameras. If you use a speed alert instead, you'll only be notified if you're moving faster than the alert speed. Even if the posted speed for the road is 45 MPH, you'll still get a ticket if you run a red light at 20MPH :)

By default, POI loader will enable distance alerts when you load the red light cameras file. It does this because it finds the keyword "redlight" in the file name.
