RE: Nuvi 660 - Touch screen accuracy, if you are having issues with the Touch Screen, try putting the screen face towards your Air Conditioner vent for about 15 seconds with the cool air blowing on it. See if that corrects the problem. This ghosting will usually occur in the summer and when the unit has been in a hot car for a while. Stronger sun, higher heat, quicker effect. This is NOT an issue with the unit, software, etc in my opinion, but a problem with the touch sensitive screen.
The previous discussion on this topic
Was a result of a firmware issue that Garmin corrected....but - the information you note is also true - heat can, and does induce issues into touchscreen devices.

I must have missed the first time this was discussed, but will remember it now. Thanks for reminding us.
re: Touch screen accuracy
Thank you guys. Now I know what I need to do when that happens.
Touch screen accuracy
I started doing that too. It seems to help the accuracy, at laest till it heats up again!
Not doing anything worth a darn.
