Garmin StreetPilot i2 $119.00

FYI

Just got my "Cheap stingy bargains" newsletter. It had a link to www.newegg.com for the Garmin Street Pilot i2 for $119 plus $5.84 shipping.

It's a good company to do business with. I've bought from them before.

Some info on the i2:

The StreetPilot i2 is the monochrome version in the i-series StreetPilots - a new line of small, inexpensive automotive GPS navigators that make driving fun.

The i2 provides voice-prompted, turn-by-turn directions through a built-in speaker, and the unit easily moves from vehicle to vehicle with an integrated suction cup mount. Garmin has also added the ability for customers to augment the pre-loaded maps with custom POI's from industry-standard CSV files, such as school zones and safety cameras. In addition, a proximity-alert feature is included to optionally warn the driver of upcoming custom POI's.

The i2 features a high-contrast backlit FSTN monochrome display. Motorists can choose from either a three-dimensional mapping perspective, or a 2D overhead view.

garmn i2

I have an i2 and a c330. the i2 is a great little unit and is well worth the price ($119) you
mentioned. For someone looking to get in to gps navigation as a starter the i2 is fine. I found however, that the touch screen on the 330 is so convenient that it makes spending an extra $100- plus well worth the difference. The 330, which is now an older model, also has many other great features.

The C330 is great little unit. If you need any info on it I'd be glad to help.

Newegg is a great site. I've bought from them on many occasion. I've also looked at the i2, i3, i5 series of the Garmin StreetPilot and they are great little starter gps. Simply and easy to use.

just bought one

it's well worth the price. i'm hoping the non-touch screen interface will discourage me with inputting while driving.
