i have a yard full of moss and dandelions my green house has a new resident a possum has moved in rent free, my front porch it seems is now a restaurant for a family of racoons they wait for me to fill the cats food bowl (i don't own a cat) and no the IRS does not allow me to claim them as dependents !

I'm

not really sure that debt collection qualifies as caring. I had a job in collections in those pop up call centers when I was struggling through college and even this many years later I can remember a bunch of incidents. There were a few rare cases in which there was an error on our part--I did care about the customer and wanted to straighten it out. But, as luck would have it, that wasn't my job. My job was to meet a liquidity target, even if it meant collecting on debts not owed.

The vast majority were folks who just didn't want to pay. So missing car payments, well, I doubt anyone cares except a faceless entity who is rightfully owed. my .02 ymmv
