Garmin BaseCamp

Anyone use Garmin BaseCamp. If so what are your thoughts?

Planning a trip across the country North through SD, WY, MT, WA, OR, CA etc. etc. and back via Route 66.

BaseCamp seems a bit glitchy at times...

just amonth ago, was still tow the neighbours out of the ditch snow season
and yesterday was the first day of stone chip windscreen season
seems just a week or so til don't fart in the forest - fire season
which will undoubtedly be followed by bridge washed out rain season
