I just found Topographic OpenStreetMap maps for Garmin devices yesterday. I am just curious is anybody else is using them and what your experiences have been with them.

Use them in Europe, generally very good. I use them on my Etrex20 when hiking.

I've used them for some time and they aren't bad. I find the shading plus topo line feature to be handy in some locations.
My only criticism is they are rarely updated and the data in some locations is more than a decade old.
You can't beat the price though.
OpenTopoMap Garmin Maps
I installed these on a micro SD card and installed it in my Garmin DriveSmart 65 with Amazon Alexa yesterday.
This morning I installed them on a micro SD card and installed it in my Garmin Zumo XT.
On the on-line map House/Building numbers are displayed. They are not showing up on my Garmin Zumo XT. Is there a way to make them display?
Base Camp
Downloaded two areas of the country and neither work with Basecamp. It doesn't even see the two files. I unzipped them into the Program Data/Garmin/Maps folder. Is something missing or is it Just Me?

I was able to get them on my Garmin Zumo XT, but I was unable to get them going on Garmin BaseCamp.

Mine show in BaseCamp. Try restarting your PC and BaseCamp

Still no map
Uninstalled and reinstalled Basecamp. Restarted several times and still no maps. I'm running Basecamp 475 on Windows 10 with all of the updates. Still no maps. Is anyone else having this problem?

Still no map
The folder contains the Garmin City Navigator files plus the otm .img files I downloaded and unzipped into that folder.

That's the issue. You shouldn't have a .img file there, it should be a .gmap folder. You need to select the BaseCamp download from the list.

I see the problem
Now you tell me. I checked the other countries and the European maps are the only ones that have Basecamp maps. The maps I'm looking for are North-America and Canada(No Basecamp maps).

Ah ...
Ok, didn't realise that. You can always copy the .img file to a physical or virtual drive to avoid having to plug in your device every time. More information here
