Anyone having server communication error with GE 7.13.1.0?

 

Over at the site https://forums.garmin.com/apps-software/mac-windows-software... there are an abundance of people having server communication errors with GE version 7.13.1.0. I find it strange that no one here reports any similar issue. Many on the other forum are from Europe. Speculating on my part, I wonder if something under the Garmin Connect Authentication Domain is set incorrectly.

A Newer version is available

GE for Mac V7.13.2.0 has been available, and it came out very quickly after V7.13.1.0.

I don't understand why you are making an issue out of this here. The topic belongs on the Garmin Forums or at Garmin Support if you have a problem.

I'm also on the Garmin forums under a different username.

I meant I am in Europe and I'm not having any issues. I'm certainly aware that some are having issues, but then there are always a few folks with issues of some sort or another. In over 10 years of using Express I've only ever had one problem, and that was my fault as I wasn't running the latest version of Express.

Forums are about helping each other and sharing information. I am not making an issue about these potential server issues here, simply asking if anyone possibly has encountered a similar issue and might be able to render some support to what appears to be many individuals on the other forum.

I did

300-400 people looking at people complaining there does not make an "abundance of people".

My experience over there is that a whole lot of people do not know how to install software and then make sure it is not their PC causing the problem. And of course we cannot tell that from the posts there.

And I don't see where those complaints are all, or even mostly, from Europe.

Most of the flack there now seems to be Express related to watches, not Automoive GPS units.

Garmin has had intermittent outages with their servers, that is a given fact, and darn annoying for anyone trying to sync a fitness activity.
