The listed maintainer of this file is Box Car. I have tried to contact this person by the contact tab for the file, and also via email. No response. Does anyone know this persons status?

No response for me either

I sent a number of updates to him throughout 2019-2020 and did not get any replies. Nor did the files appear to get updated.

Mine were for Mobil and Esso. I just keep adding the updates I've found to my own Garmin, and hope something happens later.

It is probably a frustrating file to maintain for Box Car, as Esso used to have a downloadable CSV file on their web site, for all their brands. No work required. They stopped that 2-3 years ago, and there is no reasonable way to search for locations now.

I have kept a copy of the emails I sent, in case there are future signs of life.
