I'm having trouble converting the drive-in file to ov2 for my tomtom, its the only csv file I've had trouble with got any ideas?

The "Sundance Kid Drive-In theater in Toledo, OH has been closed for a number of years (over 10).

The Porterville Drive In Theater (row 32) has been closed for a couple of years now. I will miss that place lots of memories from childhood wearing my PJ's in the backseat, to sneaking in beer and a few friends in the monster trunk of my Paremts Chrysler New Yorker (I had smaller Dorm rooms in college)during High School.

I have removed that one from the file, thanks for reporting it.

The drive-in located in Everett, WA, the Puget Park Drive-In, has closed and is torn down.

But Bengies, the last remaining drive-in in Maryland is still going strong.

Sadly the drive-in located in Winnipeg, Manitoba showed its last movie in 2007.

Small typo for a local drive-in: "Mustand" should be "Mustang".

I'll update the local drive-ins once the season opens. There were two new ones last year, but I'm not sure if they'll re-open this year.

And... first post! I used to be active on POI Friends, just discovered they closed when I started updating my new Nuvi 1490.

This file is very outdated. Sadly lots of theatres closed with the forced digital conversion, though since it was last updated, there have been new theatres.

If I were to work through these theatres, whats the process to do an updated file?

Would you want to keep the CLOSED ones in the list or just open ones?

I think you'll find even more closed by now.
If you want to update the file, remove any closed locations. Who really cares if there ever was one at a closed location.

Knowing our old drive-ins are closed we have wondered if any were still standing. Marking closed but still standing might be of interest to older people like me. If closed and no longer there no need to keep.

I have finally made it through checking the entire list and removing closed ones, adding in new ones. I checked every GPS coordinate for the open ones. There were 2 that had no status of if they were going to open this year or not, so they were left off.

Total 352 open drive-ins.

how do I get it updated

I think you'll have to contact Andrea or Jonathan for this. They will add you as the new maintainer and give you access to update the original file.

You can send it to the owner of the File via message from his Profile, or send it to Globeturtle, (Angela), the same way. If I missed that you took the file over, you should be able to upload ti from the File's page in the POI list.
