Amazing

I'd get one if I didn't already have two.

Nice To Have You Back Alan!

Definitely a good price on the 51. I'll pass the info on to my brother. He expressed some interest while playing around with my Driveluxe unit.

Thanks for posting.

How is the cleanup from the storm damage going? Any luck finding someone to repair your roof?

Anyway, it was a heck of a thing to have happen while being Contributor of the Week! Apparently, Mother Nature doesn't hold you in the same high esteem that we do here at the Factory!

I'd get this myself but

I'd get this myself but already have 3 gps's and only 1 car.

Driveluxe 50
Drivesmart 61
Drivesmart 65

When I had the G37, the DL50 was small enough to fit a mount in the lower left corner of the dash. Very convenient.

The current car, a 2015 accord has that shelf in between the two screens. This is further away and the larger 61/65 works best.

I suppose it's always helpful to have another gps on a long road trip, but 3's plenty...

Curious

Having both a Drivesmart 61 and 65 what are the practical differences and which one do you prefer.

Too early to tell, the first

Too early to tell, the first DS65 I got had accuracy issues - gps lagged actual position - a bit of an issue in close urban areas.

So far notable differences is faster route calculation and less intrusive alerts (no bar on the top, just an icon). I'm still testing. If the differences are sufficient, I may just end up sending it back.

There's a dedicated thread on the topic, take a look here - http://www.poi-factory.com/node/49273

Nope...

I will still stick with the ancient nuvi 760. It gives me directions through the car audio system. It reads my audio books to me through the car audio system. I would have upgraded long ago but none of the newer units will do these things for me.

Good to know.

Thanks.
