I see that there is a DriveLuxe 51 with some extras on eBay right now as an auction with optional Buy It Now. The Seller looks to be a good one. Given the rarity of these being offered now, I offer this info to whoever may be interested.

I bought two units back then for $129. The current price is now $119.
New Models Coming
When I went to CES, they said new models should be coming out in March which is probably why these units are going down.

The DL 51 is compatible with the BC 30 backup camera while the 3597 is not.
The 3597 uses the green topo shaded maps which I find useful. The DL 51 does not.
Both units have a powered magnetic mount. The 3597 mount has an aux speaker built in which the DL 51 lacks.
These are the major differences which I notice most. There are other minor ones which to me are not that important.

I believe the DL52 doesn't have the 3D maps that the 3597 does. Make the 51 look cartoonish.

I'm needing a backup and was debating whether to get a DriveLuxe or pickup a second 3597.
Found a new in the box 3597LTMHD at a Marine/RV shop that had it shipped to them by mistake a long time ago. They are willing to cut the price to under $150 to get rid of it. None of their regular customers want something that small or land based.
They let me unbox it and power it up, acquired sats and the location. It also seemed to respond faster than my current 3597. Was wondering if that was due to older maps or firmware.

Unless it's defective, I'd buy that one in a heartbeat! $150 is the average price for a used 3597 on eBay right now. $150 would be an excellent price for even a factory refurb!
