I bought a drivesmart 65. All my gps's always have custom poi's...hmm. So under the POI directory they house a CustomPOI.gpi
file and thats all thats in there, guess what! this one has 3 additional ones
D7378050A.gma, D7378050A.gpi and D7378050A.unl. These were created or updated when i updated to the newest map version 6 days ago.
Date stamp is the 14th. on those files. Thats also the day i got this unit. What are these and what are they doing in the Poi directory? The gpi file is 372 MB
That they come with unlock codes I suspect they relate to the FourSquare 'map' that gives you additional POIs
Earlier Drive models had those files in the Map folder in .system, guess Garmin have changed the location for some reason.
I'll move them to my computer and see what happens, i won't be using those services anytime soon.
