Keeping The Windmill Alive - Your Last Trip? – September 2019

In danger of losing your windmill?

Maybe you can share the last place your GPS took you and if you encountered any problems, or if you used it to seek out special places to go (like Thai Food, ice cream shoppes, etc.).

Anything to keep your windmill alive.

This thread will be closed on the last day of the month and a new one will be opened.

To Wisconsin's Northwoods

Just got home from several days of peace and quiet.

Did not need the GPS at all, other than to get an idea of the arrival time, based on the construction along the way...

And now, back to your regularly scheduled forum - already in progress . . .

Home!

Home after 5.5 weeks on the road in our little teardrop trailer. Great trip but sooooooooooooo much rain! Also got caught in the "Minnesota Triangle". For some reason Minnesota closes entire highways rather than letting cars through in a single lane. Also, for some reason the detour signs are few and far between and there aren't any freaking arrows to tell you exactly which way the detour goes. Made my wife crazy trying to get out of Minnesota.

No where for the past week. sad

Took a little 4 day trip...

...up to the Ventura California area. Partly to meet up with a couple of friends who were here from Germany, and also to just spend a few days visiting some of my old stomping grounds in the Thousand Oaks area. I always feel so relaxed when I'm there.

can't

remember if I already said it Birmingham, AL, then Brooklyn, NY. After that Chicago IL is on deck in 2 weeks.

So ready for a trip

We are so ready for a trip. Now that my husband is feeling like doing something we plan to go visit my sister that is a couple of hours away. Hopefully we will get to go in the next couple of months.

Just got back from touring the west

Went to the Badlands, Mt. Rushmore, Custer Battlefield, drove the Beartooth Highway, (what a sight), Yellowstone, the Tetons, Bryce Canyon, Zion NP, Grand Canyon, Monument Valley (kept looking for John Wayne, but didn't see him), confused and Arches NP. Arches was probably my favorite. Had a great time. almost got trapped by the flood waters in Mitchell, SD, but drove about 40 miles north to get away from them. All in all; a good trip.
