In danger of losing your windmill?
Maybe you can share the last place your GPS took you and if you encountered any problems, or if you used it to seek out special places to go (like Thai Food, ice cream shoppes, etc.).
Anything to keep your windmill alive.
This thread will be closed on the last day of the month and a new one will be opened.
Now I'm here in Gardiner NY. No RLC here.
Keeping the windmill going....
to meet a childhood friend who grew up with me in the Bronx in NYC.
...again. Wife is taking a Teddy Bear making Class :/
The van that just carried me cross country is rattling under the hood.
The BMW I just purchased in CA, had shipped to NY, registered and paid the taxes on, grenaded the transmission. Another $5k+ into the big motor vehicle hole...
The trusted Honda with 334k miles and no AC (which the BMW was to replace) is sitting in my driveway, to be sold for $1 to a single mom that is struggling to keep her things afloat.
Hope that karma comes back to kiss me in the wallet soon...
If not soon, sooner or later. Karma works good and well as bad!
Family fun fly and picnic
Gold country has moved from being green in the Spring to golden brown which will last until at least October now
Work all week
Just finished a trip out west. All the casino POIs I used were right on the money.
Drove to LA and back to Phoenix to return our grandchildren.
I read in this morning that it rained yesterday but it was hot enough to evaporate before it hit the ground.
To the park
Have a great week!
Lake Rabun in the North GA mountains
Baltimore, MD to Hanover, PA.
Wife's belated birthday party was this weekend, smoked 18lbs of pork shoulder, some chicken wings and MOINK balls.
Went halfway to parents place to pick up daughter. Nothing remarkable but saw a bridge is about to be removed.
Leaving in 3 weeks to go on a 6-7 week camping trip. Hoping for updated maps before then but probably not happening. Putting updated POI files on my units. It should be one heck of a trip. We did 5 weeks last summer and 7 weeks the year before that.
Went to a picnic, the drive into the forest preserve was unbelievably long.
all time boring destination (I bet someone lives there and blasts me lol).....Edison, NJ.
I am going to Mississippi next week, and never been there in my life. Kinda rare to be able to get to a new state...
Stuck trying to get around NYC during the blackout.
We made it home, traveling on Sunday wasn't as good as traveling on the 4th of July. More road crews working on Sunday than the 4th caused some delays on I75.
I know it's a grass is always greener thing. I love LA. We went there for a bday party, then 2 weeks later, back for work. On paper I hate all the fines and taxes and cost of living in SoCal, but everytime I am there the "sunny" attitudes of people make me wonder why I live in Phila. lol (take the airport I want to say wth? Why do we behave the way we do in Phila. CAn't we learn from LAX?)
While life hasn't slowed down the past few years, at least travel for work has, and I am not really missing it. Well, not too much.
Got 90,000 mile maintenance on my auto. Expensive, but now drives like new.
...seems like everyday :/
Long weekend visit with family
Back home from two weeks in Wisconsin visiting the outlaws I mean in-laws.
Getting a trip planned up to Nootka Sound for the big ones.
Our kids, my wife and I, and our son-in-law spent the weekend in a log cabin the woods in Freeport, Ohio, which is in very rural Harrison County. We had a nice quiet time. (We could hardly wait to get the hell out of there Sunday morning and head for home.)
From the dive site to the dive shop, avoiding the traffic.
