Vote for Contributors Of The Year 2018

It’s once again time to reflect on the things you enjoy about POI Factory and consider the members who help to make this community the great place it is.

Volunteers contribute to our community in a variety of ways. Some share their experience or expertise in the forums. Some make and maintain POI files or FAQ pages. While others submit sound files, BMP icon images, or location updates.

Not all of these activities are easily noticed by our members, so we'll be recognizing one member selected by community vote and another selected by the moderators. This hybrid approach helps us recognize some of the less visible contributors doing some great things behind the scenes.

So again, two members will be selected as POI Factory’s Contributors of the Year!

Voting is open to anyone who currently has General Maintainer status (stars), and you can vote for any General Maintainer (other than yourself, JM or myself).

Here's a link to a list of all the General Maintainers:
www.poi-factory.com/pfu/general-maintainer-list

You vote for someone by clicking the button that says "Vote for This User" on their user profile page.

You only get to vote for one person; however you can change your vote if you decide to vote for someone else.

Those members who are new or without General Maintainer status can still participate by commenting in this discussion thread.

Voting will end as the new year begins (midnight Eastern time).

Reading all of this above, what are JM and Angela not a part of?
Seems to me they do most if not all of what it takes to qualify. Why can we not recognize them?

This more than likely has been discussed before. To me, there are several people that has helped me or others. We need to be able to vote for more than one person. Can that be possible?
A check mark for all.

There are many deserving members ...

and that is why it is difficult to pick just one to vote for.

As much as I appreciate whoever voted for me, I encourage you to change your vote to someone who has not received the Contributor of the Year award in the past. It is a great honor to be recognized with the COY award and to know that some members have valued your contributions.

I see that so far only 33 members have voted … come on folks, we can do better. If you haven't voted yet, please do so.

Looks like something is not adding up...

With all the members this website is said to have I would've expected well over a hundred members would have voted by now. Looks like something is not adding up...

On the pages I visit outside of a poi d/l, like this one for instance, I see the same couple dozen names, the very active folks, I'd wager most members don't stop by every day and even if they do things like this are not important to them.

A gun club I belong to has well over 3000 members, each year we elect new officers (really the same few changing hats) of 3000 members the average amount of voters in the 10 years I've been a member is about 60.

Spooky

I don't know how many General Maintainers exist but it's sorta spooky that only 64 have voted as of today with only about 17 hours left to vote.

I didn't vote

I'll be the first to say that with my busy and hectic life as of late, I don't spend nearly as much time in these forums as I once had. I don't quite feel in tune with what everyone has been doing here, so I felt my vote would sour or skew the results, so I abstained. Heck it's hard enough for me to just keep my general maintainer stats lately...

Congratulation you three. Great work from what I have seen in my visits.
