Instructions needed (story)

I was sick in bed yesterday and my family is here from out of town. Since I couldn't go show them around, I gave them my GPS so they could get around. I thought they would love it, because it's straightforward and easy to use. Anyways, I was wrong. They thought it was useless because it wouldn't connect and gave bad directions. I asked, did you flip the antannae up? Huh?? You mean the stand to prop the GPS up on? Sigh. They pushed the antannae up just enough to get the GPS to stand, but not enough to get reception. No wonder it didn't work. Never assume anything is intuitively easy to use. Just the other day, someone asked if my dishwasher used soap and how do you do it....

PS- I edited the title from Help~ Instruction needed to the above because the title is a bit misleading. Though I wonder if anyone would reply to 'help' me... hehehe....

So how did they keep the unit from sliding off the dash?

Thanks for that. Made my day.

More fun family stories

I finally bought my dad a GPS, the Garmin Nuvi 250W edition and he loves it. Coming home to visit, I was looking at my gps (Garmin Nuvi 360) to his, and I noticed his GPS did not have an antanae. (Keep in mind the story told above). My dad looks at my unit and said, "You have an antique." The irony of his statement had me laughing all day.
