Memorial Day is the day we honor all those who have given their lives, in defense of our country.
Have a safe week...
Happy Memorial Day to all and remember all that gave .
and this Monday is to remember those
that gave all for the rest of us.
Spending a bit of time today reflecting on those who fought for our freedom and didn't make it back home.
I hope everyone is having a safe and enjoyable Memorial Day weekend!
Remember why we celebrate.
Happy Memorial Day!
Happy Memorial Day to all!
Let us all remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice so we could live free!
...two friends of mine that never made it home from Vietnam. Jerry Leak and Ronnie Coates, both high school buddies that were both killed in Vietnam. Another, who made it home from 'Nam, but committed suicide a few years later after returning home. Rick Schweir was a great friend and a good buddy that I worked with for a number of years before the horrors of war got to be too much for him and he ended it one night after trying to give me a call. I wasn't home and I never got to talk to him. If I had been able to take the call, things might have worked out differently. (This haunts me to this day.)
Take time today to thank a vet. Unless you have been where they have, you have no idea what some of them have went through. Memorial Day is a day where we can remember what so many vets have gone through (with some paying the ultimate price), but also have our cook-outs and reunions because of the many freedoms that we as Americans possess.
I hope everyone has a good Memorial Day!
to all Vets out there. Remember our buddies that didn't make it back.
I'm here. I think Ill wander over to the D-Day Memorial here in Bedford and contemplate.
We are commemorating this day to Honour those who stood up to save our rights! We are observing that many politicians are sending messages of support but are falling short of our standers of dignity.
Don't forget to remember our fallen brothers in arms today
Thank you for your sacrifices and service.
Reflect... and have a good week.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.
