Icon download help

I have successfully downloaded the Truck Stops POI to my Garmin RV 660. However I can’t seem to download any icons.
This is what I’ve done so far that doesn’t seem to work;
1. I’ve gone to the icon page and click on the icon “Truck Stops”
2. It goes to the next page with the Truck Stops.BMB in blue
I click on the blue lettering and It goes to a page that shows the icon, but very small
3. I Right Click on the icon and select “Save Image As”
4. I save the image as “Truck_Stops.bmp” which is the exact same name as the POI file “Truck_Stops.gpx except for the extension.
5. I place both of these files in a root folder named: “Truck Stops”, they are the only 2 files in that folder.
6. I start Garmin’s POI loader with my GPS connected to my computer and navigate to the folder “Truck Stops”. I select download and I get the message “Congratulations file successfully downloaded” or something similar.
The POI file truck stops did download, I can see all the individual truck stops when I go to Where To > Categories > POI on my GPs. However when I tell the GPS to navigate to one of those Truck Stops, there is no icon at that location, just a black square.
Another question, how does the GPS handle the situation where the POI, like a truck stop is preloaded in the GPS and I load another POI with an icon that is exactly at the same location? Which icon will the GPS display?

It sounds like things should be working but the black square indicates the bmp icon installation failed although the POI file was installed. Here are a few links that may offer some help:

paying particular attention to the The zumo 350, dezl 760, and nuvi 2405, 2407, 2505, 2507, 2707, 3400, 3500, and 3507 series devices will only display POI icons when you have that map layer selected since I expect it applies to your RV 660 as well as the listed models.
Although unlikely since the gpx file was installed, if using a PC, check to see if your bmp file may have a double extension:
2. Double extensions.
Many computer come with Windows Explorer set to "Hide extensions of known file types". So, when you follow the instructions to name your sound file the same as your POI file to the left of the extensions, what you think is
mylocations.csv
mylocations.wav
is really
mylocations.csv.csv
mylocations.wav.wav
and "mylocations.csv" is not the same as "mylocations.wav"

A question: have you succeeded in the past with other POI files and bmps or is this the first time you've tried to add a custom icon?
Forgive this final tip but I mention it since others have had the issue as well...double or triple check that the filenames match exactly except for the extension.
Your second question: If a preloaded POI has an icon that normally displays on your device, the custom POI file with its custom icon will also display and more than likely they will overlap on your map.
