Keeping The Windmill Alive - Your Last Trip? – April 2017

In danger of losing your windmill?

Maybe you can share the last place your GPS took you and if you encountered any problems, or if you used it to seek out special places to go (like Thai Food, ice cream shoppes, etc.).

Anything to keep your windmill alive.

This thread will be closed on the last day of the month and a new one will be opened.

Used it everyday to...

go downtown for jury duty. So much construction going on the traffic alert and alternate route sure helped.

Pittsburgh > Minneapolis > Pittsburgh

Jst a little 1800 mile round trip picking up my daughter and grandson for a visit with Grandma and me.

Anyone traveling I-80 through Indiana, they've already started a bunch of construction. The backups are horrible entering Indiana from Illinois. On the turnpike there are multiple, long, single lane 45 mph zones. It adds an hour to your travels through the state.

Just returned from Skiing

I was out in Colorado this week for skiing, but only used the GPS to go to the airport. There was a road closure at the Ft Pitt Tunnel in Pittsburgh, and the GPS had the information to re-route. However, I know the roads and traffic better than the GPS and made my own detour.

Lovely roads, especially when they're not crowded. Foggy and cloudy when we were there, but still a great drive.

I lived in the Washington DC area for about 14 years - I LOVED riding up in the Shenandoah Vally & the Blueridge. I rode the Skyline Drive from one end to the other many times through the various seasons, and it was always spectacular.

I love Florida....but I do miss those mountains sad
