This week

This week is cooling down for us in Sacramento. 100s at the beginning of the week and it will be in the 70s by the end of the week. Thats quite a contrast.

Have a great week end and, please, take care of each other.

too much driving

this weekend, oh well. Funny when we were kids we loved to get to drive hours upon end. Now, we kinda like to just be at our destination....which leads me to a question (rhetorical). I am driving 30 miles each way, to pick up snow tires with rims, to save about $130 in shipping. I can also buy some stuff while I'm there....but I'm sure there are many folks who would simply say hey, $130 is convenience, the junk is at my door when I pay that fee. Instead, you're gonna spend what 90 min. on the road plus fuel, to save $130.....

When that is all done (they said I have to pickup no later than tomorrow to qualify for a $100 rebate, but I'd still get that rebate if shipped for $130), we're gonna drive 2 1/2 hours to pick up a car we bought last Sat. (used, did a multi-state search on the web and found this one). UGH!! Now you've got 2 drivers, driving 2 1/2 hours back.....my thing was price, condition, and that this was a FLA car for 8 yrs and 35k. Then the son took it north and racked up 40k in 2 yrs. I am assuming the original owner was retired--the service records shows it was serviced at the dealer every 5k for the first 8 years, interesting.

friday is nearly done

Here comes the weekend!

Good morning.

If the only tool you have is a hammer, every problem quickly resembles a nail. (Maslow's Hammer)

why

when your younger it seemed you got out of bed as late as you could and when you get older you get up earlier ! this year I get up between 3:30 4:00 am feed the cat read the news on the computer water the plants in the house and the green house then putter around the rest of the day in the yard , I go to bed between 8:00 9:00 PM I think my internal clock went out of wack lol

First Monday Of October

Wishing everyone a great & safe week! grin
