Keeping The Windmill Alive - Your Last Trip? – September 2016

In danger of losing your windmill?

Maybe you can share the last place your GPS took you and if you encountered any problems, or if you used it to seek out special places to go (like Thai Food, ice cream shoppes, etc.).

Anything to keep your windmill alive.

This thread will be closed on the last day of the month and a new one will be opened.

Thanks from a Newbie

Joined this forum just a few days before going on a 3 week trip to Yellowstone. Was able to load a number of very useful POIs that served me well on the trip (mostly fast food and campgrounds). One word of caution: although the coordinates of the campgrounds in Iowa were accurate, Nuvi tends to pick some pretty undeveloped routes to them (dirt roads not much wider than a driveway but a lot longer!). I'll have more to add later, just got back late last night.

You might look at your settings to see if you have dirt roads set to avoid.

Sat 9/10/16

Trip down to where I grew up. Just to see my sister and and her husband renew there wedding vows (50 yrs).
I asked if the original certificate had an expiration date come due and this big hoopla was the result. I told her to not get the extended warranty because it is not worth it because of their age.

I've now been officially banned from all future family functions.

If you mean a date with a wife of 48 years, then yeah, to a winery with a date. And another couple.
